The Volunteer Coordinator reports to the Senior Development Manager and is responsible for coordinating Canal Alliance’s efforts to recruit and engage volunteers. The position requires an effective, focused, organized and detail-oriented professional who has excellent customer service capabilities and understanding of data management and analysis.
1. Support volunteer supervisors to create volunteer job descriptions, coordinate initial screening and intake of interested volunteer candidates and conducting exit surveys;
2. Assist with the coordination of and volunteer support for special events.
3. Coordinate and attend outreach events and opportunities to establish and expand relationships with prospective and current individual and corporate volunteers.
